Our Policies

JERSEY IS TOO EXPENSIVE, THE ECONOMY IS DECLINING,
AND GOVERNMENT WASTE IS OUT OF CONTROL.
WE CANNOT AFFORD MORE OF THE SAME.

The Next
Government Must:

CREATE CHEAPER CHOICES

Low cost supermarkets like Aldi and Lidl are put off by our planning laws and excess regulation. The next government must create fast-track planning for low-cost retailers and scrap regulatory barriers.

Jersey’s taxi market is overregulated, overpriced and closed to competition. Services like Uber cannot operate here. The next government must reform the rules so it is easier and cheaper to become a taxi driver and fares come down.

Getting a mortgage or a loan in Jersey is very expensive. The next government must open up everyday banking to new, controlled competition, under JFSC supervision and fully ring-fenced from Jersey’s international finance industry.

CUT GOVERNMENT WASTE

A senior government official suggested that more than £100m is being wasted. The next government must launch a task force to make these savings.

Jersey has been modernising government services for more than a decade, but progress has been too slow and too fragmented. The next government must accelerate delivery, ending paper forms, duplicated information and services that waste time and money.

Nip serious and expensive health problems in the bud with comprehensive checkups.

SAVE LOCAL ECONOMY

Our finance industry is at real risk. The next government must implement the 2025 financial services competitiveness programme, fast.

Help local businesses to grow by removing unnecessary regulation and red tape that stops small businesses from innovating.

Jersey’s politicians are not delivering genuine teamwork. The next Assembly must pledge to work together, with focus and purpose, to deliver for Islanders.
